Hi, I’m Cayla the Office Manager/Project Coordinator here at Criterion. I make sure all office operations are running smoothly and projects are executed successfully.

What led you to join the Criterion team?

I joined the Criterion team in 2016 after I graduated from UAF with a degree in emergency management. I started with a position in admin and now, five years later, am happy to be part of a great, growing, and new team of leaders!

 

What is your favorite part about your position at Criterion?

It has to be how versatile my position has become. I know all about the administrative side of construction and ensuring project success through my everyday office duties. But I’ve also been able to understand the business side as well, from bonding, insurance, and employee benefits.

 

Criterion’s provided me the opportunity to explore things I would have otherwise never known I was interested in. They’ve really but a lot of trust in me to grow in my position.

 

What’s the best piece of advice anyone has given you?

It’s not really advice, but the Dr. Suess book “Oh the Places You’ll go” was always my go-to when I needed inspiration as a child.

 

 “You’re off to great places, today is your day. Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”.


It’s silly but for some reason the phrase has always resonated with me and encouraged me to keep pushing on.
